Description
Halifax Health will present a live online bariatric surgery. Joel Sebastien, MD, FACS, a surgeon with East Coast Bariatrics, will perform a laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding, better known as a Lap-Band® surgery, while Harry Black, MD, FACS, answers audience questions. Dr. Sebastien is board certified and specializes in the surgical treatment of obesity. He has performed more than 200 laparoscopic bariatric operations. "This surgery is simply used as a tool in the weight loss process for morbidly obese patients," said Dr. Sebastien. "Our team of professionals will help these patients learn how to use this tool, in conjunction with certain lifestyle changes, for long term success."
