Description Stem cell researchers are still learning the best ways of maintaining stem cells in the lab. Dr. Peter Donovan has a CIRM grant to study ways of growing and expanding stem cells for therapies or drug screening. He is co-director of the Sue and Bill Gross Stem Cell Research Center and professor of developmental and cell biology at the University of California, Irvine.
