Claudius Conrad, MD, PhD, Senior Surgical Resident, Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital, Department Boston, MA, describes a surprising relationship between music and medicine. Music has been an essential part of healing for some time. This video discusses an intervention using music and the measurement of such parameters as cytokines, growth hormone, epinephrine,etc. A reduction in stress hormones and blood pressure was seen with music therapy.
