Description

A vaccine-based approach could be an effective therapy for people with mild or moderate form of Alzheimers disease. The medication used for this therapy will be tested at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute, participating in an international effort to find out more about the potential of this treatment. Most current therapies for Alzheimers treat the symptoms associated with it and not the disease itself. The goal with this clinical trial is to explore if this investigational drug can help control the progression of Alzheimers by eliminating the protein that cause damage to the brain . CARING.DISCOVERING.TEACHING. *** The Douglas is a world-class institute located in Montreal (Canada), affiliated with McGill University and the World Health Organization, which treats people suffering from mental illness and offers them hope and cure. Its teams of specialists and researchers continually advance scientific knowledge, integrate it into patient care, and share it with the community to increase awareness and thereby eliminate stigma around mental illness.
