http://www.medpagetoday.com NEW ORLEANS, Nov. 10 -- Acute coronary syndrome was the theme today at the American Heart Association meeting and the study causing the biggest buzz was all about timing, according to the participants in this exclusive MedPage Today roundtable. Spencer King, III, M.D., of St. Joseph's Hospital Heart and Vascular Institute in Atlanta, a spokesperson for the American College of Cardiology, joined Vincent Bufalino, M.D., clinical associate professor of medicine at Loyola University in Chicago, an AHA board member, and Robert Bonow, M.D., of Northwestern University in Chicago and former AHA president, in trying to sort out the clinical significance of the TIMACS trial (TIMing of Intervention in Acute Coronary Syndromes). Peggy Peck, MedPage Today executive editor, moderated the discussion.
