Description

In his first video blog for Medscape Urology, Dr. Culley Car discusses the March 20, 2008 issue of NEJM on quality of life after primary treatment for prostate cancer. It was a prospective study done on 1201 with 621 partners undergoing a variety of therapies for prostate cancer. Quality of life changes were found for all patients undergoing therapies. The average age was 63 years old. This study demonstrates the importance of quality of life at the 24 month marker and may represent an ongoing problem to engage in therapy over - both patient and partner.
